HEP Screening Questionnaire for a Child or Teenager

This questionnaire explores your child’s emotional and relational functioning. It looks at sensitivity, empathy, intuition, emotional awareness, thought patterns, motivation and relationships with other people.

How should you answer? Copy the questions into a document or e-mail and answer underneath each one. Try to remain relatively concise, around four Word pages at most, while giving enough detail when something feels important.

Concrete examples are especially useful. A nuanced answer is often more informative than a simple “yes” or “no”.

Your answers are personally analyzed by Luc MARTRENCHAR, a clinical psychologist specializing in High Potential assessment.

Read through your answers once more to make sure they describe your child’s functioning as accurately as possible. There is no need to try to make the answers fit a particular profile.

This questionnaire provides a first analysis of whether the HEP hypothesis is coherent with your answers. Scientifically valid identification of HEP requires an emotional and personality assessment that evaluates EQ and the broader emotional profile.
