An interpretation of your child’s profile
Written feedback highlighting the most meaningful elements in your answers.
Child / teenager HEP screening · personalized review
Does your child seem unusually sensitive, empathic, intuitive, perfectionistic or different from other children? You may be wondering whether these characteristics form a coherent profile of unusually high emotional intelligence rather than simply high sensitivity.
This screening gives you a personalized first opinion before you decide whether a fuller emotional and personality assessment would be useful.
I read and analyze all of your answers in order to assess the coherence of the profile you describe: emotional and sensory sensitivity, empathy, intuition, understanding of emotions, thought patterns, motivation, relationships and any long-standing sense of being different.
The aim is not to label every sensitive child as HEP. It is to determine whether the overall pattern is sufficiently coherent with unusually high emotional intelligence for the HEP hypothesis to deserve further consideration.
Written feedback highlighting the most meaningful elements in your answers.
A reasoned estimate of whether the High Emotional Potential hypothesis appears credible.
I tell you whether a fuller assessment seems useful and whether other possibilities may deserve consideration.
A very sensitive or highly empathic child can be perfectly happy. But when a child has long felt different, is unusually demanding of themselves, reacts strongly to injustice or is deeply affected by other people’s emotions, understanding the pattern can help parents make better sense of their reactions and needs.
It can also prevent the child’s functioning from being reduced to “too sensitive” or “takes everything too personally” when their emotional abilities may in fact be much more developed and complex.

The screening remains useful: it can help avoid forcing your child into a category that does not fit. When relevant, the feedback can also draw attention to other aspects of their functioning that may deserve exploration.
The screening estimates how coherent the HEP hypothesis appears from your answers. A scientifically valid identification of High Emotional Potential requires an emotional and personality assessment that evaluates Emotional Quotient (EQ) and the child’s broader emotional profile. The screening helps determine whether that fuller evaluation appears worthwhile.
No. Sensitivity is only one part of the picture. The overall emotional profile is what matters.
No. Profiles vary and no single sign is enough to identify HEP.
Yes. If the HEP hypothesis appears weak, the feedback can help you avoid an unnecessary assessment. It can also help identify the most appropriate type of evaluation when further assessment seems useful.
Written feedback is sent within 24 hours after I receive your answers.
The screening gives you a specialized first opinion before you decide what to do next. It may show that further assessment is worthwhile, or help you avoid an unnecessary process.
